My flight program was to take a plane in Tehran for Damascus. I arrived Tehran Mehrabad airport at night and after looking at people who were coming to meet their favorite team “Esteghlal” I went Imam Airport. The distance between Imam Airport and Mehrabad airport is about 1 hour and at this period I spoke with taxi driver about his older child and at that 1 hour I told about variety programs for his son which made taxi driver surprised. I am sure he saw new horizons.
I dozed in Imam Airport and wanted to sleep. My flight was in the morning and I was worry to fall asleep and lost my flight , while I closed my eyes they announced the name ” Mr. Asghar Moradi ” and I thought they told my name ” Mr. Asghari ” and my doze was tore .
One great Pakistani group was going to Damascus for pilgrimage and I looked at them up to morning. Their leader was an old man whose face was sunburned that he was doing his role well. Every woman has a big pack in their hands and their clothes were poor and old. Flight was delayed for 2 hours. After having convenience flight, when I alighted airplane Raed Khalil from Syria cartoon and Ebrahim Tamam from Information Ministry (that is our Cultural Ministry) had come to meet me. They took me airport ceremonial salon to do my passport dependent works. Raed Khalil somehow that I noticed told me: “They go to meet from political positions in ceremonial salon and by the command of minister you are received in this salon”. Although salon was small but it was a masterpiece of art.
It was two years which I hadn’t seen Raed. His beard butt had been got white and he had been got thinner and also I had been got older as if I had been sick.
Raed asked about Tabrizian friends when I described about some happenings he got sad and when he told in the evening: “I’m sad about ….” I noticed that he was thinking about that up to evening .After having coffee in ceremonial salon I accompanied by a driver whose name was Ahad. He was the father of two children . We went traditional restaurant for having breakfast. When I wanted to have some light meal Ebrahim laughed and told Raed: “Iranians always eat light but we eat fat meals.”
Ebrahim have studied Farsi literature and language for 4 years in Iran and now he is working in culture ministry, .
But Raed loved Iranians and even in exhibition his mother said exacitedly: I love Iran, Ayatollah Khameneei and Mr. Ahmadi Nezhad ….
Something was interesting to me and that was the photos of Mr. Bashar Asad on walls and doors of city. Everywhere were the photos of Mr. Hafez Asad pre president and Mr. Bashar Asad , present president of Syria , often with photo of Seiyed Hassan Nasrollah , the headman of Lebanon Allah junta , and sometimes the photo of Mr. Ahmadi Nezhad , the president of Iran , was on the window of stores . I told them I was interested in choosing Mr. Moosavi who is an artist instead of Mr. Amad Nezhad. My hotel was in a place where wealthy people of Damascus live there. Hotel is told “Fandog” in Damascus. Sham Fandog was a hotel with 5 asters and it was clean and it had very beautiful lobby because of being flowers and plants. Plants were grown from upper stages towards lobby. There was a pool with ebullient fountain and chairs ornamented by pearl_ shell which were caused hotel to be more beautiful.
I told Raed because of being awake for 24 hours I loved to get rest and they told with humility that they would come to take me in the evening.
Raed is the manager of Syria cartoon site and secretary of regular Syria contest. In recent years Syria for holding regular contests, publishing book and doing its assurance and Syria cartoon site management, has found suitable place in cartoonist world. He has a daughter as old as “Rose”; her name is “Maya”. Raed Khalil has one personal room in Albaas newspaper building and his house is exactly next to this building that you can see Raed’s house from Albaas building.
People in Bazaar and alley know Raed. Because of his being permanently in Syria TV and drawing cartoon he has been lovely person every morning.
They came with Osame Asalty in the evening .Osame is from Palestine. He has studied in London for 6 years and it is about 2 years which he has started to draw cartoon. He was my leader in Damascus because of his fluently English.
He hasn’t married and his desire is to come back to his paternal lands.
We went some sightseeing with Osame and Raed Khalil car.
