The Second International Cartoon Contest

Dear Artist,

We sincerely invite you to participate in the second edition of our cartoon contest. It is a great honor for us to have your submissions this year!

Last contest was an extremely successful - we have received over 950 cartoons by 278 cartoonists from 58 countries!

Regulations

 

1. The contest is open to all artists worldwide, cartoonists, caricaturists, painters, illustrators, etc.

 

 

2. Theme:

POURQUI PAS?

WHY NOT?

DLACZIEGO NIE?

 

 

 

3. Entries: unlimited

 

 

4. The size of the works should be 800X600 pixels min, 2000 X 1500 pixels max (or up to 1 MB per image) black and white or in color.

 

 

 

5. Participants should send their cartoons (works not being previously awarded in other competitions)

together with filled and signed ENTRY FORM and picture of the cartoonist by e-mail in jpeg format to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

 

 

 

6. Deadline for entries is September 2011 (exact date will be confirmed later).

 

 

7. The works must be original. The authors should have full copyright and be responsible for all the legal responsibilities

related to the productions copyright.

Cartoons accepted for exhibition and prize-awarded cartoons might be published for any kind of publications in press

or advertising concerning the contest.

 

 

 

8. The following Prizes will be awarded:

FIRST PRIZE: sculpture Golden Quebec Banana + Dyploma+Catalogue

SECOND PRIZE: sculpture Silver Quebec Banana + Dyploma+Catalogue

THIRD PRIZE: sculpture Bronze Quebec Banana + Dyploma+Catalogue

5 HONORABLE PRIZES: bronze Medal + Dyploma+Catalogue

Original bronze trophy sculptures Quebec Banana will be made by Oleg Dergachov and send by mail to all the prize-winners.

 

 

 

9. Some of accepted works will be printed in a brochure, on posters, in the world press or other printed matter for the purpose

of publicizing the exhibition.

In these cases any fee for the use of works will not be paid.

 

 

 

10. Remark: the works will not be returned.

 

 

 

11. Do Studio will produce a digital CD catalog with works awarded and selected by the jury.

Catalog will be sent to all the selected artists.

Results of the contest will be published online on www.dostudio.ca/contest.html after December 4th 2010.

100 best Selected cartoons + 15 awarded cartoons will be exhibited in Montreal.

 

 

 

12. Participation in the contest means the complete acceptance of all the above conditions and agreements.
